Sharepoint has a database which is hosted on SQL server (or SQL Express).
So if you are installing Sharepoint (or WSS), you can install the database on an instance of SQL server either on the same machine that hosts the site in IIS, or on an instance on another machine.
Here's a link that descibes a standalone install of WSS 3.0
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc288005.aspx
And here's a link where you should be able to find more details on the architecture
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263199.aspx
Maybe there's something I'm missing - is it migrating the sharepoint database to a new server what you're looking for?
thanks, Greg E

Were you asked to create a presentation for how to do this? We don't do your work for you. There are some good links above to help you learn how to do this.
What you asked doesn't make sense. SQL Server doesn't get migrated to Sharepoint. They are different and separate products. Sharepoint uses SQL Server to store data.
