Practice Questions for 70-441 & 70-442

  • Yes, I know the exams are being retired this year. But I'm still looking for the practice questions Microsoft used to have on their site for these exams. They've completely redesigned the site and I appear to be unable to find them.

Anyone know where they are? Or any other free (non-brain dump) practice questions?

I want to gauge my current level of understanding before I decide whether I'm going to do a last minute splurge on Transcender or even on the 2005 exams themselves.

EDIT: I should mention, I have the MS press book for 70-441, but I appear to have misplaced my CD which has all the book's practice questions on it. Very annoying.

  • If it helps you to make the decision, Transcender is having a 20% off sale for March. I just ordered the 30 day online access for 070-432 for about $90US. I've got the Measure Up practice exam that came with my training book, but the they seem rather limited compared to Transcender.

  • I'm trying to avoid spending money until I check my skill levels. Otherwise, I would have already purchased Transcender.

I really wish I could find my 70-441 CD, but it appears to have been lost (or maybe someone took it when they borrowed my book).

  • That does sound annoying, those CDS are really useful.. maybe you could contact Microsoft publishing and see if they can send you a new one?

  • So I'm googling to see if there's a way to get a replacement CD and notice an odd link. I open the link up in another window and see this blurb.

Someone please explain to me how the heck this is NOT a brain dump? I somehow doubt MS actually gave them the questions and answers to the exam.

  • It looks as though that's a bit of a "spam" page. There's no evidence that the product actually exists, just an "Enter your email address and we'll be in touch" link.

  • The wording of that sounds like a brain-dump site. I take it this is not an offical MS link?

  • No, it's not an official MS link. I didn't include the link because I don't want to give them business.

I did find the MS link though at http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/training/format-books-support.aspx.

And sure enough, they have a way to order replacements:

Need to order replacement books or discs, or place a book order

Contact Microsoft Press customer service by phone: (800) MSPRESS or (800) 677-7377.

I have a feeling it'll cost me money, but we'll see how much. I wonder how early the office opens...

I find it quite amusing that the exam is to be retired in 3 months and they're talking about "We're working to get the exam as soon as possible."
