So, a few weeks ago I purchased the Kaplan Self Test for this exam. I rather enjoy it, it is challenging and based on what I've seen on it so far it seems to cover all of the exam objectives. But there are a couple of things that I've come across that I question.
The first one is the subject of Spatial Aggregates. I've come across these on the exam (I believe I had 2-3 questions on them, plus 4 flash cards that cover this subject) and going back through my 70-461 Took Kit book, I cannot find anywhere that talks about these except quick reference. How important is this for the exam?
The second thing I was kind of worried about is it being Case Sensitive. I took the exam 2 weeks ago and got one question wrong because they listed a column as 'id' and the syntax they required involved calling it 'ID'. I verified my syntax was correct, matched everything perfectly except I had a lowercase id instead of an uppercase. I took it again a few days ago, and got 2 questions wrong due to the fact that I used uppercase column names instead of lowercase, as I felt that they required uppercase instead of lowercase. I'm worried that, while TSQL is more or less case insensitive, the exam itself will be and I'll get a question wrong due to me having the wrong case on a column name.
Any help is appreciated, I just want to "beat the curve" and pass my first Microsoft exam first try! 🙂

Without breaking any NDA, I don't think spatial aggregates should be high on your list.
There are more important topics to cover, such as window functions and XML.
I don't remember having any case (in)sensitive issues on my exams.
Need an answer? No, you need a question

Thanks! I didn't think so, since the official training kit doesn't cover it at all, to my recollection. And in my past experience, practice exams tend to be harder than the actual exam (if you find the right ones) so here's hoping! I do plan on focusing on XML a lot this week as that is my weakest area, but since they do list it under their exam specs I'll at least have a brief overview of the 4 different spacial aggregate functions and what they do. Thanks again!
