We have a set up where our backups are backed up to a shared drive on a another server on a nightly basis. This was working fine until we lost power and after our UPS held on as long as it could, we had an outage on the servers. When they came back up our backup process began failing. The only administrator account on the shared drive is called 'Administrator'. I am guessing that I need to reset something somewhere in order to get this SQL job to again function properly. The error message reads:
Operating system error 1326(Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.).
What could have happened during our outage that would cause this and what do I need to do to get this process back on it's feet.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.....
Dave

This problem can occur when the password of the inter-domain trust account is not synchronized on both sides of the trust relationship.
