There is room in a post title to show the time of a post in the poster's local time, as well as in GMT (or is it only in GMT because that's my current timezone?)
I can guess people aren't really up at 3:30am posting to SQL Server Central - they're just in another timezone, but it would be useful to know.

Interesting idea. I'll pass along to the forum vendor. Changes like that we try to get them to incorporate.

Yup. I was posting at 1am the other day, though I doubt anyone would have noticed (GMT + 2 timezone)

It's in the timezone you specify under your account properties. I see the times either GMT + 1 or GMT + 2 depending on USA's daylight saving. There's a bug somewhere....

Thanks GilaMonster, I've found out how to check a poster's timezone.
And I see you're in South Africa too - So its early summer there? which just reinforces how f.f.f.f.freezing cold it was for me cycling into work today 2 deg C, windchill of -8

We consider late nov - early feb to be mid summer. It's been around 30 C for the last week. Major contrast to Seattle, week before last. < shiver >
