Does anybody have experiences with PostGreSQL; is it as good as MS SQL Server, does it support as many features ect. etc. It is easy to transfer from SQLserver to PostGre SQL.
It is possible to use MS SQL Server on Linux ? Are there atlternatives ?

PostgreSQL doesn't have as many features. SQL Server cannot be run natively on a linux platform. Linux platforms, however, can connect to a running SQL Server. MySQL is an alternative, but it does have some features missing. Without going into laundry lists, are there specific features you need/want?
