Those settings sound a bit strange Michael. If your server has only 2Gb, surely the HighMemoryLimit must be set lower than that (you need to reserve some RAM for the OS after all). Do you have SQL Server on the same server? If so, that needs quite a bit of RAM too. I suggest you stop the AS service, then launch Task Manager, restart AS and monitor the memory usage of MSMSRV.EXE as it loads up. You need the HighMemoryLimit set to say, 20% more than whatever it peaks at. I'm not sure about the Low limit, but common sense suggests it should be lower than the High limit - how about 1Gb?

That is exactly what I was thinking, Steve. How does the swap file/paging file size enter into this? Do you know?
I will do as you suggest and let you know what the results are.
