I restored the database on Stage using PRod backup file. The queries are running extremly slow after restore.. When you give the solution please provide the reason too. Thank you very much!

Hydra... um... noone here has *any* idea why it's slow, though they might have ideas on what you should look for. But, the solution? We don't even know what the problem's general shape looks like.
Are certain queries slow, or every query, or is it just accessing the objects in SSMS? Is data access slow? Is RDC slow? Is the data the same size as used to be in stage? Are the computer systems similar? What's the SAN look like for the two systems? What's slow to you? Are you on a VPN?
There are a million reasons the system could be slower. You haven't even given us a hint.
Never stop learning, even if it hurts. Ego bruises are practically mandatory as you learn unless you've never risked enough to make a mistake.

has the database been restored from a previous version of SQL Server.
Try updating usages and rebuilding indexes would be my first port of call!
