Over the last week on our primary work server the 'Error in database process' alert has been triggered serveral times. I associated a job to backup the databases and do 'stuff' to protect the data.
This error is classed as a level 20 serverity alert so I treat it seriously but I am at a loss as to why this should occur and as to what specific effects it would have etc. Basically I want to know what I should do to prevent this error from happening.
The platform is as follows:
SQL7 service pack 3
8x 500Mhz CPU's xeons Level 2 2048K cache
8Gb of RAM (Don't say anything I did not spec. the machine - Should be fine when we upgrade to 2000 though 🙂 )
Windows 2000 Advanced Service pack 2
101Gb RAID
