    Is there a work around for the below problem –

    Scenario – after applying patches to the database, automatically the replaced or newly added objects are dropped from the roles along with its original pre-set permissions due to the patches. All the replaced objects needs to be reassigned permissions and added to the roles.

     

    any solution/suggestions/recommendations greatly appreciated -

    Whatever custom permissions you set I would script out.  This way when you patch you can re-apply them.  Patches drop\replace system items and there is no way to prevent this nor do you want to......
