Hi everyone,
I am looking for a solution to bypass our company policy to automatically reboot a server after patching. They do it with every server, regardless of what service is running on these servers.
I really don´t want them to test my always on configuration the hard way once a month- so would it be a good thing to implement a scheduled failover?
Is a scheduled job just executing "alter availability group xyz failover" fair enough or is there a better way?
Thanks in advance!
ps. it is just one database, two servers with one AG

are the replicas configured synchronously or asynchronously?
