Hi all,
In July of this year, I'm relocating to the Phoenix, AZ area.
How is the market in this area for SQL server DBA's, and C#/ASP.net development?
I am currently finishing up a contract at a large financial institution (read: bank) and I think I'd like to find something smaller and more 'developer friendly'.
My training is mostly database, but I have filled both DBA and C#/Web developer roles in my current contract.
Any advice, tips, suggestions are very much appreciated. If you don't feel like posting, feel free to shoot me an email.

I was in Phoenix last year in August. Damn its hot! Close by to Phoenix are lots of nifty places to see and lots to to do. I took a course at McKesson Corp in installing their healthcare application. (SQL Server backend) Its seems like a good place; the folks were nice; maybe they have some openings. Check out their web site. Good luck - don't bother packing a coat; maybe some extra sunscreen. (I'd never seen outdoor sprinklers specifically for people to walk through in order to cool themselves.)

Just checked them out, they had an opening for a programmer, but it was in a different state.

I'm currently finishing up a rebuild of an old 'vette which will be my daily driver. I plan on having the t-tops off 99% of the time out there:

Don't worry about the heat, it's hot but it had been 240 since a 100 degree day until Sunday. Of course it will be over 100 for the next 120 but oh well.

I'm not really sure what the market is like, I'm not looking but I would suggest subscribing to this site.
