Hi peoples! Anyone know of a good personal firewall i can install for free on my home computer?? Thanks!

Not sure what this has to do with SQL Server but try Zonealarm.

Also a lot of the home internet providers provide free anti-virus and firewalls. For instance Comcast offers McAfee to their high speed internet customers.

Hi

I use the free version of Zone Alarm for my personal PC (Windows XP SP2 has a built in 'firewall' as well) and have always found it quite useable once configured. Only problem I got was when I upgraded it once and it disabled the email scanning on my Norton Antivirus until I figured out how to turn that feature off.

PS: If you use VPN products you may find that a personal firewall interferes with them.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it...
