Hi all
We have implemented this service pack and created dashboards using the new "apply filters" and save as default functionality. Unfortunately there seems to be a specific permission required to use this that we can't quite figure out.
Basically members of the site Owners group in Sharepoint can use it, but normal users cannot. It is simply greyed out.
Does anyone know how to rememdy this? We have stopped inheriting the permissions from the site in the dashboard and have applied them specifically to the dashboard itself.
I've attached screenshots of the option when a) the user is a part of the site owners group and b) when the user is in a specific group granted access to the dashboard (not inheriting) and given full control. It is greyed out when they are in the specific group and not when they are in the site owners.
Any advice would be appreciated as I can't seem to find the common link here!
Thanks
Mike

Not sure if you have resolved this yet or not. There was a post in the TechNet forums and I thought I would follow up here as well - PerformancePoint Filter - Save as default permissions
To the best of my knowledge this was never updated or provided in the online documentation once SP1 was released and this was included as new functionality. Based on some testing in order to enable the 'Save as my defaults' the users need the Update Personal Web Parts permission that is part of the Personal Permissions. If they have this permission the checkbox will be enabled on the dashboard page.
?Update Personal Web Parts - Update Web Parts to display personalized information.

Hi there,
Thanks for this - we did never resolve this issue, and had written it off and something we had to live with.
This is great though, thank you for replying.
Regards
Mike
