  I am trying to grant our developer permissions to deploy .rdl files and only view data sources in our SRS environment. I went to "Site Settings" and created a "Item-Level Role" called ReportDeployer. Within that role I granted it "View Data sources" and "Manage Reports". I then went back to the Home page of Report Server and under properties added him with the "ReportDeployer" role. He is still not able to deploy reports or see data sources. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help!

  Apparently the permissions, because of a restriction on the folders when created where not trickling down. I have it working now!
