Hi folks,
I have a database role PUSer, PUser has all sp and fn and some tables access. Just recently I was astonished to see all the permission setting were gone.
Detail:
When I right click on PUser, go to property, go to Securables, I used to see all the objects that PUser has access to, there is nothing now.
However, if I go to check each of the object, I can see PUser still has access.
I go to each object, manually re-assign permission to PUser, and then check the role's securable, still nothing shown there. (Permission was successfully added and verified but just won't show up)
What's the problem?
Thanks.

Hi, when your checking the permissions are you doing this via SSMS from your workstation or remote desktop into the server? I have seen some issue's like this when SQL Server is running version 2005 sp2 9.0.3042 and my workstation is running 2005 sp3 9.0.4035.

I am doing this through SSMS, there is no local SSMS on the server.
You must be guessing the credential I used to connect to the server, however, this is the same thing I did before, I never had this problem before.
My version is: 9.0.1399

😀
I was hoping to move this post a little bit further on the top in the forum so people won't miss it.

I am experiencing this same issue, except that the granted permissions were never visible when reviewing them later. Any insights would be appreciated.
Thanks, Scott:sick:
