i want to monitor windows server performance using sql server..for that i m using performance monitor..
can u guys tell me the exact value for each counter..so i can make change...
like
Object: - Paging File
Counter: - %Usage
Preferred Value: - < 70%
Description: - The peak usage of the Page File instance in percent.
Reference: - KB 889654
i want all the values for all counters....

For many counters there's no single threshold where below is good and above is bad, it's not that easy. For many, you need a baseline for what's normal in your environment, then you can tell what's abnormal.
