We have 2 servers. One running a hotfix of SP2. The other is a new dev server now on SP3. The spec of the machines is the same except the new machine is using a test SAN.
The new machine runs one of our big processes an hour slower than the existing machine.
I want to ask the SAN guy to check the config, am I ok to eliminate SP3 being the issue?

Anyone?
On a side note - Has anyone ever has 2 identical servers running side by side and have them running the same queries as each other - and those queries complete in the same time on both? I'd imagine there are enough environmentals going on that it will never be a perfect match.

I just upgraded a server to SP3 last Sunday. I checked some logs and did not see any discernable differences in run times from last week.
