I am just wondering if anyone can explain the difference in the cache hit ratios displayed on the main page of performance dashboard report via management studio. There are two parts of the cache hit ratio report, one for user requests and one for user sessions.
I believe I know what user requests is detailing, but what does user sessions report on. I have had a look at the procs the dashboard uses but am still a little confused, maybe having a senior moment.

Sessions refers to users connected during that time-frame to the database.
