Hi,
At my place of employment we have a SQL 2005 installation thats running on Windows Server 2003. I set up performance counters in the past using the Performance Monitor tool to gauge how the server box was performing. I noticed recently that those counters don't exist any more on the server. Perfmon just shows numeric performance objects like 1150 and numeric counters like 1152. Is the perfmon library corrupt? How can i get the real objects and counters to show again so that i can gauge performance again.
Please help.

Hi,
You can try the following command : lodctr.exe /r
It should restore the names instead of numbers...

Once this command is executed, restart the remote registry service.
I did this on production machine in a cluster without incident.
