Performance counters inside .NET...

    Hello,

    I'm looking for the namespace or architecture nomenclature for access performance counters within sql server 2000 and 2005. I'll probably need info on this in both .net version 1.1 and 2.0.

    I'm trying to create an app that will essentially perform the benchmarks spoken about in last month SQL Server Magazine (I don't have the article name) however here is the site - http://www.sqlmag.com.

    There is another one on "The Code Project", but I think it's more on implementing counters in your own app, but he does talk a little about monitoring them.
