Perform Backups at DR site

  Hi,

  My requiremnet is to backup SQL Server databases at DR location.

  Currently, we are using logsgipping (both modes recovery & standby/readonly) modes and databse mirroring and in both technologies, we cannot take backups from secondary instance.

  Do we have any other suggestion/solution or technology for this problem?

  Only one I can think of, upgrade to SQL Server 2012 and AlwaysOn.
