I have an pdf document which contains almost 10 pages. I have to generate the SSRS report of the same PDF. Is there a way to convert the PDF document to RDL report? There is no database interactions associated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

um, why? Before I did any work on this, I would ask if the users intend to, say, export the SSRS report to PDF? Maybe i'm missing something here, but it sounds like, other than consulting $$ in the bank, there is little business value in converting a non-data driven pdf document into a Reporting Services report, but then again, I'm not the guy getting the consulting dollars either 🙁

🙂
thanks for the reply.
The reason I am looking for this conversion because the content in PDF document is kind of newspaper. Lots of editing and formatting is require if I type into SSRS. Other reason is it needs to be in the same format as the PDF document is. I'm not sure may be I need any third party tool for conversion.
Thanks.

It's technically feasible, in the end it's XML to XML. Unlikely you'll find any commercial utilities to do it though - RDL is inherently a format that is used to present extracted data whereas PDF is most often used as a publishing tool of static (e.g. word) documents.
