Passing datasource credentials from parent report to subreport

    I have created a parent report with shared datasource. And the subreport with datasource properties set to "No Credentials". When I run the parent report, I get "Error: Subreport cannot be shown".

    I set the parameters right. When I test with credentials for subreport it works fine. Only when I am trying to use the "No credentials" for subreport it fails.

    Please suggest if there is a way to pass the parent credentials to the subreport.

    Either use the shared datasource of the parent report in the child or use an embedded datasource with saved credentials...

    Thank you. I can store the credentials for the parent report using a datasource. But I want to pass the credentials down to the child report. I am using the same child report in more than one parent reports. And each parent report will have different credentials in the curresponding datasource. I need a solution where I can pass the credentials to a child report so that I can use the same child within different parents.
