Partition Level Lock Escalation Problems

    Hello Experts,

    Making escalation level to auto will create escalation to partition on a partitioned tables thus helping us to query other partition within the table.

    But is there some drawback in this case ?

    I am planning to execute this escalation property in my project

    It's possible to have deadlocks with partition escalation that you wouldn't otherwise be able to get. There's a brief discussion in https://www.simple-talk.com/sql/performance/sql-server-deadlocks-by-example/
