Hi,
For a report that returns thousands of lines, usually when you view on the web, it says let's say 200 pages (if you display built-in paging global variable), but when you print, it actually prints perhaps 300 pages, this always confuse my users.
Is there any way to make the two view displaying same page number?
Thanks!

Nope - the number of pages printed is based on pronter page sizes. Since you could print the report to a deskjet with 8.5x11 paper, or a copier with legal paper, or even a receipt printer, the number of pages printed can vary greatly and is not really up to you at design time.
Your users just need to get used to this.

This is by no means an optimal solution but it's the best I think there is right now.
Once your customers have generated the report to the screen and have clicked the print button (but before they actually kick of the printing) have them click the print preview button. They can then scroll to find the number of pages that should print.
I still wouldn't bet my life on the number that actually prints being identical but it'll be close. And since the print preview is based on the selected printer and however it's configured they shouldn't have to worry about paper size variables.
