A SQL query walks into a bar and sees two tables. He walks up to them and asks, "Can I join you?"

Hmm... As of now, only 28 percent correct. I am one of those who got it wrong, but I did indeed learn something.
Thanks, Jason!

Interesting question but an easy one only because I am studying "Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Internals" from Kalen Delaney and I have finished the 6th chapter ( Special Storage a month ago ).
I have eliminated FixedVar which appeared before SQL Server 2000 ( moreover compression must be enabled ).
I remember that I have read several pages about the CD Region ( with CD = Column Descriptor )
Compress dialog was eliminated because I have not seen it in the book.
Dictionary is a phase of the compression : surely not a good answer.

Nice question, Jason, thank you. Like Patrick, I have the 2012 Internals book sitting on my coffee table, but I haven't gotten through it yet. It seems like so many evenings are filling up that I'm just not getting to it. It won't sit stagnant for too long.
