Does anyone know how to put page numbers in the footer of a report that will reset every time a new grouping is hit on the report? For example, we have a report that is used to mail letters to people. Everytime I hit a new person on the report, I want the page number to start at 1 again. Each person can receive multiple pages and a different number of pages to their letter.
Thank you.

hmmm pretty sure this is not possible in RS2000, you could do it in Crystal easily ...
Not sure about RS2005 though... i thought i read somewhere that what you want is "in the pipeline" so it might have made the 2005 release..

MSRS does not currenlt support this functionality. There is an article at http://blogs.msdn.com/chrishays/archive/2006/01/05/ResetPageNumberOnGroup.aspx on how to accomplish this but I have not yet tried it. I need to do the same thing eventually for cretaing invoices so would be interetsed in eharing back if it works for you. There is an issue noted on the site that you could have issues if multiple users run the report at the same time.
