Page 1 or 2 Unavailable

  • When on page 1 of a thread, if the latest post is on “Page 2”, there is no button on Page 1 to get to Page 2.

On the main forum post, clicking the latest post will take me to the new Page 2 post, but then there's no way to get to Page 1 to read previous posts.

Seems as though the code is not recognizing that a new page has been created when the number of posts = 16 and rolls onto Page 2.

When a 17th post is made, then it seems ok.

Unresolved. Discussed in another thread back in May (in wrong forum).

  • I can confirm this issue.  I was actually going to post about it but Homebrew01 beat me to it.

That and it now takes about a thousand years for the system to submit the post after you click on the submit button.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

You beat me to posting about the recent slowness.

Maybe SSC DB indexes need to be reorganized , then DB shrunk. (hee hee)

  • Created a test thread and I still see this when there are 16 posts. When we get to 17, it appears to work. Updated the ticket to hopefully kickstart some work on this.

  • Thanks for the update, Steve.
