Hi all,
I have a SQL installation with 8GB of memory available to me, Windows 2003 server.
I enabled 3GB/PAE in the boot file, and set max memory to 7GB. I was expecting a bit of a boost, but my DTS based application is even taking longer and also the Page File PF Usage is around 7GB as well.
I would like to know the cause of this problem and also to know if there is a way around it.
thanks

no need to cross post. sure, you're asking a different question; but the reason is the same question that has already been responded to... you apparently haven't read the MS document... and here you claim to have enabled 3GB/PAE... while in your other thread you have refused to enable PAE as directed by MS.
Do you think we don't read all the forums?
If you want help, you should make some effort to receive it. Don't try to "fool" us by cross posting.
Thank-you,
