There 2 issues i have
1) I have opened the existing packagee of SSIS file of 2005 version in sqlsever 2008 BI studio and it looks like the version has upgraded.How do i check if the packages are upgraded 2008 and if upgraded to 2008 how to rollback to 2005.
2)How do i edit the saved package in sqlserver 2005 with sql login.

Yes when you open 2005 package in bids 2008 it get converted, no option to roll back, other than re-designing it on bids 2005.

I am unable to save connection manager of ssis package in 2005.
When saved it is saving but actual changes was not reflected.

Once you open the SSIS in 2008 it is automatically updated and you can't revert back...
Regarding the connection manager, check if there are any variables assigned in an expression relating to the Server/DBName otherwise check package configurations if it is reading from an XML Config file!
