Hello guys.
I traditionally use OWC inserted into HTML pages to report my cubes. To do that I go to every client and install OWC10 (office 2000) and create the trusted site IE config too.
Recently I saw a mail from the corporate office saying that the will be upgrading/installing OWC on their servers....
What is the relevancy of OWC on the servers?
Does this help with OLAP or just something else not for Pivot Tables/Charts?
Thanks

You need OWC installed on the server for sharepoint if interfacing with cubes, this could be the reaon...

I use OWC against Views, but I would like to run OWC reports against Analysis Services cubes. Is this possible??

Sure, you only need to use the PivotTable object (for example with Excel). Menu -> Data -> PivotTable and PivotChart Report...
Just create the connection (Pivot Table wizard) and drag and drop to assemble your initial cube display.

theres a sharepoint addin for OWC. Also take a lookup at the upcoming business scorecard manager as it does this very elegantly.
