Can I set the order of the transformations within a step?
I cannot 'insert' a transformation that would set up a global variable for the next transformation to use.
Currently, I have to add the new transformation, then delete the one that would be next, save the package and add the deleted transformation tagain to follow the first one's sequence. Problem is though, I have +- 20 transformations that need to be shifted to their new sequences -- not just one or two --
Any help would be appreciated

Are you working in the DTS Designer or VB? Are you working with the actual name of the steps? You can set the order of the steps, kind of like the insertion of an item into a linked list.
