Has anyone been able to customize the output of the BlockedSPIDs2005 Monitor, so that the alert description contains info such as the SPIDs involved in the blocking, the program names, logins etc.?
I have been able to configure the BlockedSPIDs monitor to generate an alert when blocking exceeds a 10-min threshold, but the information in the alert is deplorably poor... 🙁
I have been playing around with the GetSQL2005BlockingSPIDs.vbs script - the guts of the monitor - and I know where the string with the alert info is generated.
However, at the moment, I don't know how to create a custom pack that will take this info and expose it in an alert.
If anyone has done this, it would save me a lot of the work involved to do this from scratch.
