Operating system error 5 Even SQL Service account has Full permissions on folder

  • Hello SQL Experts,

    https://sqlwithmanoj.com/2016/10/25/sql-error-unable-to-open-the-physical-file-operating-system-error-5-5access-is-denied/

I am also facing similar issue. Operating system error 5: “5(Access is denied.)”. CREATE DATABASE failed. Some file names listed could not be created. Check related errors.

We have SQL Server 2014 server. The SQL Service account is NT Service/MSSQLServer. We have F:/Drive which has folder and added additional luns

    F:/MSSQL/MSSQLServer/Data01 (First volume)

F:/MSSQL/MSSQLServer/Data02 (Second volume). I verified that MSSQL is has full control on these folders but still getting same error. I RDP & run the SSMS as administrator and tried to create the DB but it didn't work.  In another server with same version of SQL Server, I can able to create the database with out any issue. I have already admin permissions. GUI and running t sql to create DB didn't work.  Any help will be appreciate.
