Hi All,
I know that you have to have SQL Enterprise 2005 running to take advantage of Online Indexing Operations, but do you have to have the db compatibility level set to 9.0 as well. I'm asking because we're planning on upgrading to SQL 2005 and we want to rebuild indexes online but the current db is 2000 (8.0 compatibility). So do i have to switch it?
Thanks DBA's!

Yes and table should not have LOB columns (text, ntext, image...)...

Ok, thanks to all of your guys input. That's what i wanted to know if you could still perform "online" indexing operations while it was in 8.0 compatibility mode.
