One DB File or More than one in the same website ?

  Hi there,

  my team is developing a website as set of modules like ( Membership module, News letters module, New and Articles Module, E-commerce module , etc...), each module has it's own set of tables and it's own tables relationship.

  the question is , do i use one DB File to contain the whole set of tables ? or do i use a separate DB file for each set of tables?

  pleaaase i need help

  My recommendation is to use one db file. further you can use filegroups if you want.

  Given the nature of the modules you describe, you may want to look into the open source DotNetNuke framework for ideas.
