Hello experts,
I have an odd issue. A user asked me to provision SQL access for an AD group domain\groupB. When I checked, I saw that same AD group already provisioned. I did notice that the user in question was not in the group, so I had him added. But he still could not see the group login when logged in to the SQL Server. Not sure if it matters, but this is an AOAG setup. Also I am sysadmin so I can see everything, which makes it difficult to see the issue through the user's eyes, so to speak.
So, I see this:
domain\groupA
domain\groupB
domain\groupC
domain\groupD
The user sees this:
domain\groupA
domain\groupC
domain\groupD
Does anyone know what the difference could be that is preventing the user from seeing the SQL Windows login for domain\groupB?
Thanks for any help.
