Hello everybody,
actually we've an issue loading data from an AS/400 server in SSIS using 'Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2'. The only character data types we're able to receive are unicode strings, but we need non-unicode strings.
I've just read an article that 'IBM OLE DB Provider for DB2' provides a property, where you can switch between unicode and non-unicode. Is there a similar property for 'Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2'?
If there isn't, does anybody know where we can download the 'IBM OLE DB Provider for DB2'? Is this provider for free?
We think, Data conversion tasks would take more processing time than receiving non-unicode strings directly, don't they?
Thanks in advance
Andre
