Guys any better solutions, I do not have a DR site,but am copying scheduled backups over the network.The problems is the time to copy the backups across the network 60 Gig more than 4 Hours,this result in failure and unreliability.
I need advise on better FTP solutions and compressing software to aid the same to at least reduce the time to say 2 Hours.

Have you enabled backup compression for your SQL Server backup jobs?

Yes i have enabled backup compression.
