Is ODBC technology supported\recognized by sql 2005 or not? (I have heard conflicting statements on this one). Or is this lack of support I have heard about only in, say, SSIS?
TIA,
Bill
P.S Why does this Forum name have "Yukon" in it! Time to get rid of that.

We had a problem with ODBC and it's use of sp_cursoropen. This was not fixed until SP1. I have tested it and it seems to have fixed the issue. While working with the Microsoft engineer he mentioned that the sp_cursoropen stored procedure MAY not be support in future releases.
This indicates to me that we might want to start thinking about moving away from ODBC to some other technology. Which one we are not sure yet.
