ODBC Connection problem

    Hello everyone,

    I have managed to get a remote jdbc connection but am unable to get a remote odbc connection to my sql server 2005 express edition. Does anyone have an idea why this is the case or if I have to install any additional drivers on the client?

    I can however, get the odbc connection locally on the server.

    Oh I just found the solution, I need the sql client installed on the client. Through the sql client I can make the connection.
