I need to create a report that, in part, needs to use a font that is not offered in the IDE combo box. Does anyone know where I need to install new fonts that the IDE will recognize. Waht about the RS server itself. I would guess they need to be installed there as well.

Just install the font on your development machine just like any other font. I use an OCR character font for invoicing and have no issues with it. You will need to deploy the font to the report server in order for the font to appear when the user generates the reports. Also, the user's will need the font installed on their local machines if they render the report as well.
