Does anyone know where to get a summary of totals of Microsoft certificate holders? I'm sure I've heard numbers banded around before, but can't find any relevant stats on the MS website.

It's print too. Freebie if you're certified.

MCSDs still suck wind. Loooks like Microsoft would push this more since it's really more valuable for us code toads.

I think its a harder sell in the development community. I agree its surprising they havent done more to push it though.

Have Fun!!
Q. How many Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCPs) are there worldwide?
A. There are currently 843,940 MCPs worldwide.
Q. Of those MCPs, how many are Microsoft Certified Database Administrators (MCDBAs) for SQL Server 2000?
A. There are currently 83,572 MCDBAs for SQL Server 2000, and that number is growing. The number of MCDBAs for SQL Server is second only to Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers (MCSEs), which has 160,496 certified professionals. To learn more about MCDBA certification, visit the Microsoft Certified Database Administrator page.

I think you have lots of MCDBAs because for many, like me, it is a small matter of 2 additional tests to your MCSE tests for the extra cert. MCSD has no overlap anymore between the tests. You gotta churn through 4 basic tests for that cert. Still wish MS would promote MCSDs more. About the only benefit we see is the one for licensing software as a partner and having MCSDs on staff to qualify.
