Hi,
I want to use the local settings of the machine running the reports to format numbers and currency. I have a number which I can only format in the report designer with predefined formatting styles. The thousand separator is ',' and decimal separator is '. For the Netherlands we use '.' as a thousand separator and ',' as decimal separator. My local settings are set also for the report server. How can I change the formatting?
Any idea would be nice.
Thanks,
Erik

Sorry,
I gave it a try and it doesn't work the way a tought it would.
I was able to modify the decimal and grouping symbol by specifying a different language in the report properties...
Maybe this could work for you

RS BOL has instructions for this. Set the Locale for the Report by changing the Language property at the Report level - hopefully the image below shows up...:
Here's the BOL title "How to set the locale for a report or text box (Report Designer)"
You probably need to use custom format "N0" (letter N followed by zero) to display integers... If your local machine, the Report Manager machine and the recipient's machine's Regional Settings are "Netherlands", exports to Excel should retain the required formatting.
