  • Good question Steve. Thanks.

  • Nice question, thanks Steve! It would be interesting to see a poll of how many users out there are using soft-NUMA.

  • Great question, and an easy point. Just how I like it 😀

  • can you create soft-NUMA nodes with CPUs 1 and 2?

    >> Yes.

    If the question had asked:

can you create a soft-NUMA node with CPUs 1 and 2?

    >> No.

    🙁

They always make me think of undersea adventure novels usually acquired in airports and read midflight in the pre-Kindle days when I'd be out of things to read... National Underwater and Marine Agency, anyone?

Do you mean the fictional NUMA -

Mr. Pitt you are needed in the Ready Room by Vice President Sandecker...

    Or Non-Fictinal NUMA -

Mr. Cussler found the wreck of the Iron Clad Manassas...

Clive has written paper backs on both the Fictional and Non-Fictional NUMA.

Undersea adventure novels? Never realized that was a category. See, I've learned 2 things from the QOTD.

Steve, sorry to take the discussion off-road, so to speak, away from soft-NUMA. I painted all the ceilings in my house this weekend. Must still be under the effects of the fumes. 😉

  • Nice question, but I have to agree the "NODES" wording threw me off also.

I finally decided to go with the right answer for NODE and got lucky I guess.

  • Another good question, thanks.

  • Thanks for the question - Learned something today. Got it wrong, but makes the day worthwhile:-)
