Hey,
Just to follow on from this NULL user issue and save creating a new post. I am slightly baffled with something.
We have a user set up as System Admin. This account was created when we first built the system (and knew nothing about SQL Server) and a lot relies on this login.
If you look at all of the sysusers tables in our databases, this login is in there as a user.
I wrote a query to join sysusers to master..syslogins and join in the suid column. The login and associated user in each DB do not match! Any thoughts why? I was toying with the login. I tried to assign it to be a user in a DB and it gives me an error saying the login is already a user in that DB. This occurs for all DB's.
And one question on NULLS. My BUILTIN\Administrators login as well as my Group Domain logins all have suid and name columns as NULL. Is this a big issue?
Thanks,
Clive Strong

Hey Andy,
I had a hunch on this one that the login was part of a Domain User group. Not sure why that account was put in the Group.
Should Domain Group Logins have a null name & suid column?
Thanks,
