I have an old server on NT 4 running Sql 7. The builtin\administrators account in sql is gone and I cannot get it back. Help!

At least you should have sa login to add this account. if you have then go in enterprise manager with sa login
there you add new user. select build in administrator as a user
try this .. i think you should able to do this

You can do this easily in Enterprise Manager. Open the dialogue to cerate a new login, and type BUILTIN\ADMINISTRATOR for the user name.

It worked adding back with builtin\administrator. I had tried using the server name\administrator. Thanks!
