Hello...I apologize in advance for my arrogance.
New to SQL Server admin kind of stuff. My question is each time my SQL Server machine is rebooted, the IP address changes. What are my options that will let me send out the new IP address to few of my user to access the machine? I mean, any Notification Services or Tasks/Triggers? I appreciate in advance.

why not set a static ip address?

You usually want Servers to keep a static IP address for this very reason.

Thanks for the replies...but I got 2 questions:
(1) How do I keep static IP address?
(2) How do I go about send out an email message when server reboots...and with new IP address?
What is the business practice? Thanks again!!

You need to talk to your Network/Domain administrator.
