Nothing is listed in Network Configuration

    Hi Gurus

    one of my friends has installed SqlServer 2005 but he cannot register or connect to any serevr. ( he is on WinXP)

    I told him to have a look at this section ( picture below) to see if the TCP/IP is Enabled or not.

    but he says that NOTHING is listed for him in this section

    You think way the problem may be ?

    what version of sql server did he install?

    Everything you can imagine is real.

    It is the "Standard" version
